Surf Nubbin and Headin’ to Washington

July 29th, 2010 ragboy No comments

Well, two items in the news for us. We are heading up to the NWWSA 2nd annual wakesurf event, can’t wait. We will be broadcasting again live, so stay tuned.

Also, we have been working on our special Surf Tow that pulls you up from the side of the tower, instead of the middle. We have found a much cheaper way of doing it, and its compatible with tube towers, and even towers like the Alpha Z. We have a custom prototype, and we are ordering 10 made for more testing. So far, we are VERY pleased. Can’t wait to share.

Wake9.com Surf Nubbin

July 11th, 2010 ragboy No comments

If you have been on our boat over the last year, you will have noticed our Surf Nubbin. Its an invention of ours, where we tow the wakesurfer from the side of the boat where they ride on. This works best on the top corner of the tower. This allows the rider to be towed out of the wake, and away from the mush, which is VERY helpful for beginners. This would sell for about $100, but I would need to preorder about 20 of them to start. If you are interested, please contact me. Otherwise, you may watch our “How to Wakesurf 101: Gettin ‘em up” video to see a tip of how to tow like this without one. Its not as convenient, but it works!

Here are some pics of the Nubbin.

How to Wakesurf 101: Tandem Wakesurfing

June 29th, 2010 ragboy No comments

Time for a new installment to our how to wakesurf 101 series. This is a great boat activity that doesn’t require advanced skills, and is a blast for all skill levels, and great for pictures and long lasting memories. You will need a larger board, we are using the new Lakewakes “Boat Board” and you can find more info on that board HERE.

You can view the entire HOW TO WAKESURF 101 Series HERE.

Here are some great pics:

Big Guy Wakesurf Boards and The Boat Board

June 28th, 2010 ragboy No comments

So we have been having a lot of fun helping test some The Walker Project (TWP) boards and test and prototype several Lakeswakes boards. This goes all the way back to October of last year when we had our Big Guy Demo event we called the Polar Bear Event, since the water was so cold. We had a blast, and 2 boards floated to the top of the heap. Since then those prototypes have been polished they are blast to ride. There is the high performance Bazooka, a real shredder, and the tamer Lakewakes 5.2 Boat Board. We call it the “Boat Board” because it is fun to ride, still maneuverable and fun, yet with the back fin in very stable and great for all sizes and teaching new people.

Check out this podcast, and feel free to contact us with any other questions.
