How to Wakesurf 101: Going Wireless

July 21st, 2010 ragboy No comments

So this is the next 101 video in our series. After you Get em Up, you have to get them Going Wireless, or Freeriding, which basically means surfing without the rope. The key, just like getting them up is feet position, but also balance and smooth easy corrections. In this video we detail how to accomplish this, and how to teach others how to go wireless quickly.

When people watch these videos, there are often lots of questions, and we want to help, but its tough to stay on top of all the emails. So go HERE and feel free to post any questions, and feel free to post pictures of your results, we LOVE to see them.

Here are a bunch of great pictures of the day:

MyWake is HERE, and Just having FUN

July 19th, 2010 ragboy No comments

We always have something to do, especially with the MyWake contest and the Festival and such, always a video or something to test, etc, etc. Now don’t get me wrong, we love it, but it has been HOT, over 100 degrees lately and sometimes you just want to spend some time surfing and swimming. And that is what we did, and we had so much fun, we figured we had to share it.

Don’t forget to check out and register on MyWake, registration is OPEN!

How to Wakesurf 101: Tandem Wakesurfing

June 29th, 2010 ragboy No comments

Time for a new installment to our how to wakesurf 101 series. This is a great boat activity that doesn’t require advanced skills, and is a blast for all skill levels, and great for pictures and long lasting memories. You will need a larger board, we are using the new Lakewakes “Boat Board” and you can find more info on that board HERE.

You can view the entire HOW TO WAKESURF 101 Series HERE.

Here are some great pics:

New 2010 RZ2 for Wake9.com

June 29th, 2010 ragboy No comments

So, were hoping to have ready by the 4th, but either way we are stoked. I originally came up with some colors and then Danny from Tige asked me if he could just design something sick with a WHITE tower. That sounded intriguing. I am always up for an adventure, so I said ok. He’s hispanic, we should be simpatico, right? ;-)

Here is a slideshow, we will keep blogging as we get more pics, and then when it is delivered.

OK, I am REALLY interested to see how this tower is going to look. Has anyone seen a white alpha z tower in the wild?

2010 Spring Festival Competition – Open Women

May 28th, 2010 ragboy No comments

We had to combine the Women’s Open with the Amateur Women’s division, but we still had some great surfing. Bri Chmel takes first place with a great run, but HELLO, here comes Adriana Borelli with a second place and $350. This division saw the highest prize money.

2010 Spring Festival – Surfing the Supreme V226

May 26th, 2010 ragboy No comments

So we RJ, Dennis, Chase, Farrah, Dave and Maddie had a great time surfing the V226. It had a great wake on both sides. The pocket seemed a little shorter than the RZ2 but I didn’t hear any complaints, everyone enjoyed it. I heard the goofy wake may be a bit better than the regular, but both sides were good. Watch the video and check the photos section to see for yourself. I have to apologize in advance for our intro.
