Practice Safe Wakesurfing
Over the last week, we have been working on a Safety and Etiquette video. After working with it, we realized that we needed to do safety on its own, and even trying to only include the most important tips, it took 2 parts. I think it covers some really helpful information, and I hope you find it useful for you. If we all keep promoting safety while wakesurfing, we can remove its stigma as being unsafe. Lets keep wakesurfing safe and legal for many years to come.
Keep in mind that this is not complete, and all you need to know, but some of the most important safety tips we could cover in 15 minutes. Feel free to contact me or comment, about tips you would like to see in future how to’s.
Part 1:
Part 2:
We will still be doing a video strictly on etiquette, so stay tuned.
Hey Ragboy, Great vids. I noticed you commented on how your boat turns away from the surfside when you let off the gas to pick up a rider. Dennis H taught me to use that to your advantage. When the rider is down put the gas to nuetral, then crank the wheel to the opposite of the surfside. When I was with Dennis, the boat would do almost and instant 180 (with no throttle) and the rollers would be heading away from the boat.
That’s a very good tip, and I have done that, but I can’t seem to teach my brain to turn the opposite of the lean. Maybe its my years of riding a motorcycle. Kinda funny. Thanks for the comment.
