Youtube, Quality, and Stuttering.

Recently youtube has added the ability to upload and playback HD 720p videos, which is very cool. So now, there are 3 formats for youtube videos (normal lo-res, HQ, and HD), and if you upload in HD, the youtube video can play in any one of the 3. I have received feedback that people with slower computers are having trouble viewing the videos without stuttering or jerkiness. That may be because I used “code” to default these videos to play in HD mode, which is the most CPU intensive mode of youtube video. I have instead altered the code to default to playing in HQ mode, which should make things better for those with slower computers and limited bandwidth.

But hey! I have a fast computer and lots of bandwidth, and I want to see James Walker boost in High Definition! That is not a problem. When you click PLAY, just also then click the HD button, which will make it turn red, and then play in HD mode. You can then hit the FULL SCREEN button, to make the video play in full screen mode. Now all you need is some popcorn.
