• 2012 Wake9 West Coast Wakesurf Open

The 2011 West Coast Wakesurf Open was a great event for us and all involved. We really had a blast and want to focus our efforts on making that a yearly event that you can count on for fun and a great competition with world class surfing. We also had prize money for amateurs, because we want this event to foster new and upcoming talent and encourage more and more people to just get out, ride behind the boat and compete for the fun of it, or maybe work their way up. Keep checking the link below, over time we will be posting more info on the 2012 open:

For now, check out this video of some of the world's best wakesurf riders doing some of the coolest and most difficult tricks.

One thing to note, RJ didn't know the name of Chase's last trick, which is VERY cool. He didn't quite land it but I can't wait to see him land it in competition. If RJ called it out straight, it would be something like "180 Shuvit to backside 180 switch to a body varial". Since we didn't want to write that out, RJ came up with his own name, which made me laugh hysterically, and so it stuck and we used it in the video.

Chase, we apologize in advance, you may already have a real cool name for this combination and that's great. But 2 of your fans over here will forever refer to this trick, as:

    "The Fuhshiznit"
